Professional Dual Fuel Pump Power Architecture for High-Output EFI Builds
The VTI Sealed Dual Fuel Pump PDM System is engineered for high-horsepower EFI applications requiring independent, high-current fuel pump control.
Built around a sealed dual-relay enclosure with two independent fused battery feeds, this system delivers stable 10AWG power to each pump without shared internal splits or undersized connection points.
Designed for standalone ECU systems, boosted street builds, and competition vehicles, this architecture ensures consistent pump voltage, controlled staging capability, and long-term reliability.
This is not an add-on relay kit.
This is a dedicated dual pump power distribution system.
System Architecture
• Sealed dual relay enclosure
• Two independent fused battery feeds
• 40A per terminal rated relay architecture
• Dedicated 10AWG power output to each pump (~12 ft leads)
• Dedicated 10AWG chassis ground leg for each pump
• OBD1 ECU trigger lead(s)
• OEM fuse box 12V switched lead (~4 ft)
• Flame-resistant expandable loom
• Raychem SCL sealed transitions
• Quick-disconnect metal mounting bracket
Each pump receives its own fused feed and its own ground circuit. No internal splitting. No shared bottlenecks.
Simultaneous or Staged Pump Control
This system can be configured in two control strategies:
Simultaneous Activation
Both pumps activate together under a single ECU trigger.
Ideal for:
• Always-on dual pump setups
• Drag builds
• Simple high-output configurations
Staged Activation
Primary pump operates normally. Secondary pump activates via independent ECU output or boost reference.
Ideal for:
• High-horsepower street builds
• Boost-referenced systems
• Progressive fuel demand setups
• Standalone ECU configurations
Staged control is recommended for advanced EFI systems capable of secondary pump output control.
Selectable Pump Termination Options
To support a wide range of builds, selectable termination options include:
• OEM Honda 92–01 pump connector
• Walbro / TI Automotive connector
• AEM style connector
• Ring terminal termination (for billet hanger systems)
• Unterminated 10AWG leads
Ring terminal configuration is ideal for Radium, Full Race, and other billet dual-post pump hanger assemblies.
Fuse Configuration
Selectable fuse rating per pump:
• 30A (255 / 340 class pumps)
• 35A (450 class pumps)
• 40A (525 / high-draw applications)
Each pump is individually fused and independently powered.
Dedicated Ground Circuits
Each pump includes a dedicated 10AWG chassis ground lead terminated with a high-current eyelet.
Proper grounding ensures:
• Reduced voltage drop
• Stable pump voltage
• Improved fuel pressure consistency
• Reduced electrical noise
• Long-term system reliability
Fuel pump performance depends on both power and ground integrity. This system addresses both.
Mounting Design
This system utilizes a metal dual-hole mounting bracket that allows quick removal of the sealed PDM enclosure while maintaining secure chassis mounting.
The bracketed architecture supports clean interior mounting while protecting the enclosure from moisture and heat exposure.
Built for High-Output Applications
Engineered for:
• Twin pump turbo Honda builds
• K-swap high horsepower systems
